| Seidelhuber Metal Products was acquired by Brodhead Steel Products
in 2006. It is being operated as the Seidelhuber Metal Products Division of
Brodhead Steel Products.
Seidelhuber Metal Products has a long history. It was founded in 1906 as
Seidelhuber Iron and Bronze. Seidelhuber Metal Products was spun off in 1962 to
manufacture swaged bar grating. Grating made from aluminum became attractive in
the maritime and handling industries.
The exceptional , non-corrosive properties of aluminum was appealing in areas
where corrosive environments eliminated steel bar grating such as water
and sewage treatment, food and wine processing, chemical handling and in other
hostile environments Seidelhuber Metal Products was first run by Frank
Seidelhuber and then by his son Mike. Mike sold the business to Brodhead Steel
Products in 2006.
